Dune punk

I had a vision of something like this for a while, something inspired by dune, yet also a bit steam punky, techno. I wanted bold colours, linen, contrast, some midrift, and a bunch of stainless steel.

A Lady Gaga concert gave me the impetus to create it, and the process taught me to never try doing drapery with myself as the manquin again; one of the most frustrating endeavours I've made. Everytime you think you've got the linen tacked correctly on your back, and turn the other way to look in the same mirror and suddenly hate all your decisions. That then assumes the tacs on their own give you enough information to sew with when you've taken the drapes off you and are now sitting in a puddle on the table...

Not sure I'll sell this; but I might make more!
